Dr. Caitie Kuempel is a post-doctoral researcher at The University of Queensland and WWF Australia. She is passionate about finding ways to meet the needs of the growing human population while minimising impacts on the environment – particularly in the world’s oceans. She currently spends half of her time as the monitoring and data management lead for WWF’s Coral Reef Rescue Initiative, which aims to conserve less climate exposed reefs to benefit people and nature. The other half of her time is spent quantifying and mapping threats to marine ecosystems to help prioritise conservation management actions. ---
