Cynthia Nakozoete is a conservation practitioner in Choiseul province, Solomon Islands. She believes that protecting and managing biodiversity is for the good of all people and is enthusiastic to work with The Nature Conservancy for nearly four years. Cynthia partners with Indigenous communities in Choiseul to manage natural resources, and she advocates at the provincial level for informed choices for sustainable development. Cynthia also supports women’s inclusion in conservation through KAWAKI and helps raise local community awareness around natural resource management. Through locally managed marine areas, she is helping communities preserve nature for future generations.
